Part Time Media Intern
Requirements: The position requires a minimum of 3 years of college with a major in journalism, English, communications, or other related field. In addition, the candidate must possess strong writing and verbal communications skills; strong computer skills, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Word and Publisher; and must be able to meet deadlines. He/She must also be knowledgeable of print and electronic media institutions as well as their representatives who serve the Bronx. Candidates must be able to commit at least 15 hours per week to the internship.
Helpful Attributes: Knowledge of Bronx communities and their demographics. Familiarity with issues affecting low-income Bronx communities is helpful, as is bilingual or multilingual ability (i.e. fluency in English and Spanish or fluency in English, French, or a non-Romance language like Wolof or Bambara).
Education: At least 96 credits or the completion of three years of college is required.

Part Time Intern for Education Research and Data Analysis
Requirements: The position requires a minimum of three years of college with a major in the social sciences, urban affairs, public policy, social work, or a related field. Work experience or training in survey design, administration, and analysis is a must. Candidates for the position must have excellent writing skills and be able to speak clearly and concisely. They must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities, as well as be proficient in computer applications, especially word processing.
Helpful Attributes: Familiarity with social issues facing low-income Bronx communities and area residents is helpful. Knowledge of statistical analysis software (i.e., SAS or SPSS), spreadsheet software (i.e., Excel), or database tools (i.e. Microsoft Access) is helpful. Knowledge of or fluency in Spanish is helpful, but not required. Knowledge of early learning programs, parent education, and early childhood development is helpful.
