BronxWorks has employment programs for out-of-school youth aged 17-21, most of them without a high school diploma. We provide job readiness training, placement help, and other services. After they have found work, BronxWorks follows up with the young people to help them retain their jobs.
BronxWorks also provides social services to make sure that other life challenges do not get in the way of success.
Excel Education and Employment Program
Excel offers career training in various fields. In addition, we help young adults create resumes, prepare for job interviews, gain computer skills, and learn how to manage money. For those who did not graduate high school, Excel has daily GED classes with group and individual instruction.
